In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks. – John Muir

Thanks for joining me! There is nothing like exploring a new place for the first time. The excitement and awe of discovering something new never grows old! Time in nature is healing and something that has become an important part of my life. I’m sure it is an important part of yours as well, or can be!

A few years ago I discovered a hobby that improved my health, helped me manage stress, and improved my outlook on life. Running! In the past I had always proclaimed “I’m not a runner.” Spurred on by a desire to get healthy and feel better, I decided to give it another try. I’m not sure what changed, but something was different this time. I stuck with it and pushed past the discomfort. I will never forget that first 5 mile distance I was able to run relatively easily. I was amazed it was even possible for me to run that far! Little by little I added mileage, eventually working myself up to a half marathon last year. Reaching these milestones has taught me an important lesson about myself. I am capable of so much more than I ever imagined. My limits, you see, were all in my head! And overcoming those limits has empowered me in all sorts of ways. It can empower you too. It really is amazing. It’s safe to say I am now permanently addicted to running.

How has running had a positive impact on your life?

This blog is dedicated to a match made in heaven: running and travel! Getting up early, throwing on your running shoes, and hitting the pavement to explore. Sounds amazing doesn’t it?! I can assure you it is. Some of my best memories have been made in those early mornings exploring without another soul in sight. There is no better way to explore a new city, or a quiet path in the middle of nowhere. I invite you to travel along with me as I explore my town, country, and the world through running. I hope to post on all things travel and running related. The sky is the limit. And I hope you will share your adventures as well!

Have you experienced the joy of exploring a new place while running? I would love to hear about it!

If you’d like to hear more about my adventures don’t forget to hit the follow button! I’d love to have you along on the journey!

Keep Roaming! – Tina
